These terms govern your use of GetAsakusa, an audio walking guide operated by Locamoca Inc.. By buying or listening to a walk, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What we sell

GetAsakusa sells self-guided audio walks around Asakusa, Tokyo. Each walk contains narration, written transcripts, a route overview and practical information about each stop. You walk on your own; there is no guide and no group.

The narration is generated with a text-to-speech system. The scripts are written and checked by people.

2. No account needed

You do not need to create an account to browse, preview or buy. When you buy a walk, the right to listen is stored on the device you bought it on.

Right after payment we show you a restore link. Save it, and you can move the purchase to another device or recover it if you clear your browser.

・

One purchase covers up to two people walking together. You may give the restore link to one companion. You may not post it publicly, resell it, or pass it to people who are not walking with you.

・

If you lose the link, email us from the address you used at checkout and we will restore it for you. Automatic restore by email is not available yet.

・

We ask for an email address at checkout only so that we can identify your purchase if you contact us.

3. Price and payment

Prices are shown in the app in US dollars when you browse in English, and in Japanese yen when you browse in Japanese. You are charged in the currency you were shown. Prices include Japanese consumption tax.

・

Each walk and each bundle is a one-off purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

・

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

・

A purchase does not expire. Access may end if we stop operating the service (see section 8).

4. Refunds

Audio walks are digital content delivered immediately, so statutory cooling-off does not apply under Japanese law. We offer a refund anyway.

・

If a walk is not what you expected, reply to your receipt email within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.

・

If the audio cannot be played because of a fault on our side, we will refund it regardless of when you tell us.

・

Refunds are made to the card used for the purchase. After a refund, you must stop using the content.

5. What you may and may not do

The audio, transcripts and route information are for your personal use on the walk. You may not:

・

Record, copy, redistribute or publish the audio or transcripts.

・

Use the content in a paid tour, a group tour or any other commercial activity without our written permission.

・

Publish or resell the restore link. Giving it to one companion who is walking with you is allowed (section 2); posting it where anyone can take it is not.

・

Interfere with the service, or attempt to obtain paid content without paying.

6. Walking safely

You are walking in a real city with traffic, crowds and construction. You decide where and when to walk, and you are responsible for your own safety.

・

Use one earphone, not two, so you can hear traffic.

・

Routes, opening hours, admission fees and the existence of shops change. We show the date we last checked each one. Confirm on site.

・

Some stops pass places where people live and work. Please keep your voice down and do not photograph private homes or residents.

7. Accuracy and liability

We research and check the historical and practical information we publish, but we do not warrant that it is complete or free of error.

・

Playback requires a network connection. We do not warrant that the service is available without interruption.

・

Except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the walk concerned.

8. Changes and ending the service

We may change, add to or withdraw walks. If we stop operating the service entirely, we will announce it in the app at least 30 days beforehand, and we will refund anyone who bought within the preceding 90 days.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version takes effect when it is published on this page. If a change materially affects buyers, we will say so in the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes will be submitted to the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law in your country of residence gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
